Basic Guide
Baccarat is one of the easiest casino games to learn. Within just a few minutes, you can fully understand how to play.
Choose whether you want to bet on the Banker, Player, or Tie hand. Place your chips at your chosen value before the betting window closes. At Petron77, the minimum starts from RM 2.
The dealer deals two cards to the Banker hand and two cards to the Player hand. Each card has a value: A=1, 2–9 at face value, J/Q/K/10=0.
Only the last digit of the total counts. Example: 7+6=13, so the hand value is 3. The hand closest to 9 wins. A value of 8 or 9 from two cards is called a "Natural".
Depending on the initial hand values, a third card may be drawn according to fixed rules. The hand closest to 9 wins. Winnings are automatically credited to your Petron77 account.
Card Values
Card values in baccarat differ from other card games. Memorise this chart and you're already halfway to playing confidently at Petron77.
| Card | Card Values in Baccarat | Note |
|---|---|---|
| Ace (A) | 1 | Low value in baccarat |
| 2 – 9 | Face value | Example: 7 = 7 points |
| 10 | 0 | No value |
| Jack (J) | 0 | No value |
| Queen (Q) | 0 | No value |
| King (K) | 0 | No value |
| Natural 8 | Automatic Win | 2-card total = 8, no third card drawn |
| Natural 9 | Best Natural | 2-card total = 9, best winning hand |
Third Card Rules
At petron77, all these rules are handled automatically by the dealer. You don't need to memorise any of it — just place your bet and enjoy the game!
Why Baccarat?
Ask any seasoned casino player in Malaysia about their favourite games and baccarat will almost certainly make the list. There's a reason baccarat remains the top game at nearly every live casino around the world — it's simple, fast-paced, and offers fairer winning odds compared to many other games.
At petron77, we deliver a complete, authentic baccarat experience built for Malaysian players. It's far more than just a standard video stream — every baccarat table at petron77 comes equipped with real-time scoreboards, accurate round statistics, a live chat function with the dealer, and a clean, intuitive interface that's easy to navigate even on your very first session.
One thing Malaysian players consistently appreciate about petron77 is the variety of baccarat variants on offer. From Speed Baccarat, which wraps up each round in just 27 seconds, to the dramatic Squeeze Baccarat where the dealer slowly reveals cards with full suspense — there's something for every type of player. For those just getting started, the Beginner Table with a minimum bet of RM 2 is the perfect entry point.
Smart Strategy
Baccarat is a game of chance, but playing with the right strategy can help you manage your bankroll more wisely at Petron77.
Statistically, the Banker bet carries the lowest house edge in baccarat at around 1.06%. Even with the 5% commission, it remains the best-odds bet over the long run. Many experienced players at Petron77 consistently favour the Banker bet.
While the Tie payout of 8:1 may look tempting, the house edge on this bet is around 14.4% — significantly higher. Use the Tie bet only as an occasional flutter, not as a core strategy when playing at Petron77 tables.
Before sitting down at a petron77 table, set yourself clear win and loss limits. For example: stop playing once you're up 30% from your starting balance, or down 20%. This discipline protects your winnings and prevents unnecessary losses.
Many baccarat players use scoreboards to track patterns such as the Big Road and Bead Plate. At petron77, all these scoreboards are available in real time. Use them as a loose reference, not as a definitive prediction tool.
The Martingale system (doubling your bet after a loss) may seem appealing, but it carries significant risk. A safer approach is to stick to consistent wagers or use flat betting — placing the same amount each round when playing at Petron77.
Use petron77's welcome bonus and weekly cashback to top up your playing balance. More funds mean more chances to win without dipping further into your own pocket. Check the promotions section in your account regularly.
The Full Experience
Among the many platforms out there, Petron77 stands out for its baccarat experience for several clear reasons. First, our streaming quality. Multi-camera HD video lets you see the dealer from sharp angles — every hand movement and every card dealt — with no blurry or lagging footage to break your focus.
Second is information transparency. Every baccarat table at petron77 displays round statistics, Banker and Player win percentages, and real-time pattern boards. This helps you make more data-informed betting decisions rather than relying purely on guesswork.
Third, seamless transactions. Petron77 fully supports all popular local Malaysian payment methods. Deposit via Touch 'n Go eWallet, GrabPay, DuitNow, FPX Maybank2u, CIMB Clicks, Boost, or ShopeePay — all available and processed in under 5 minutes. The minimum deposit is just RM 10, so anyone can start playing baccarat without committing a large amount of capital.
Fourth, Petron77's VIP program delivers real, tangible benefits to our loyal baccarat players. Gold-tier members and above gain access to exclusive VIP tables with higher betting limits, more generous weekly cashback, and priority withdrawals. The more you play, the more rewards you unlock.

What Our Players Say
Hear directly from those who play baccarat at petron77 every day.
"I've been playing baccarat for over 4 years, but only discovered Petron77 about a year ago. Honestly, the difference is night and day — the video streaming is faster, there's a scoreboard, and the dealers are incredibly professional. The Squeeze table is my favourite; there's a real adrenaline rush when the dealer slowly reveals the cards."
"I used to play baccarat on other platforms but always ran into slow withdrawal issues. Petron77 was immediately different — I requested a withdrawal at night and it hit my DuitNow within an hour. The No Commission table is great too; no need to worry about the Banker commission. It's become my go-to platform ever since."
"Only started learning baccarat last month. I began at Petron77's Beginner Table with just RM 50. Now I feel confident enough to move up to the regular tables. What really stood out was the customer support — they patiently explained the rules to me in Bahasa Melayu. Thumbs up!"
